Melanie Ruiz

Ms. Ruiz serves as Chief Information and Technology Officer for ABM Industries (NYSE: ABM), one of the world’s largest providers of integrated facility solutions that includes janitorial, engineering, parking, electrical & lighting, energy solutions, HVAC & mechanical, landscape & turf, and mission critical solutions. Ms. Ruiz has been serving in this role since 2020, joining the organization at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, and has since led a multi-year, enterprise-wide technology and data strategic transformation. She previously served as Chief Information Officer, Americas (2017 to 2020) at Cushman & Wakefield and as Vice President of Technology (2009 to 2017) at Scientific Games. Prior to that, Ms. Ruiz served as Airport Operations (2008 to 2009) at United Airlines and held several roles in operations and Global IT Management at Abbott Industries (2004 to 2007).
Ms. Ruiz has been recognized as one of the CIO 100, Women in IT’s CIO of the Year, and named on the 2024 HERoes Women’s Executive List and among the Top 20 of Role Models by INvolve.
